Horizon Capital announces the expansion of its team with two new experienced hires. The appointments follow a busy period for the firm with three exits, 2 new platforms and 23 add on acquisitions completed for the portfolio in 2020. These new appointments will enable the business to continue to grow through 2021 and beyond.
Emily Hickley joins the team as an Investment Manager to source and execute both new investments and strategic add-on acquisitions across the portfolio. She is working with the management team at fast growing software provider Sapphire Systems on their UK and US acquisitions.
Before joining Horizon Capital, Emily was a Vice President in the Acquisition Finance team of Royal Bank of Scotland where she spent six years providing debt capital for private equity transactions in the UK and Western Europe.
Katherine Woodfine also joins the Horizon Capital team as an Investment Manager. She is focused on sourcing and executing new platform investments and supporting the portfolio companies in making add-on acquisitions. Katherine works closely with Horizon Capital’s Converged Managed services provider Timico on their buy and build programme.
Prior to joining the business, Katherine spent 5 years as an investor at Puma Investments where she was responsible for a number of growth investments.
”"Despite its challenges, 2020 was an extremely busy year for us as a business and our portfolio companies experienced continued growth. We are pleased to welcome Emily and Katherine to the Horizon team as we continue to grow our business.”
